About The Tiverton Foundation
Tiverton Foundation’s Mission Statement
The Tiverton Foundation, in partnership with the National Parks Conservation Association, the National Parks Service, and other interested organizations, provides annual grants to conserve and enrich America’s National Parks and programs.
It provides a growing endowment to increase support for and safeguard our country’s National Parks legacy and to inspire environmental stewardship to preserve the Parks for our nation’s posterity.
The Tiverton Foundation’s History
The Tiverton Foundation was founded in 1992 to enhance increased interest in and foster conservation of America’s superb National Parks.
It is intended to serve as a means of collective support for the Parks by providing a permanent and growing endowment which will be used to improve and expand the Parks for the benefit of current and future visitors. Each year the Foundation distributes grants for support of the National Parks.
It is the intention of the Trustees of the Foundation to continually grow the fund by encouraging additional contributions to the Foundation and by positive investment performance so that the annual grants will steadily increase.
